I encourage you to keep parts of your life private.
Not hidden, but private. There is a difference.

In a culture of social media, where almost everything is shared, we can easily fall into giving everyone access to everything. But as I’m now in my late 20’s, about to enter my 30’s, the beauty of mystery has been confirmed. It’s becoming rare to keep private. I believe there’s beauty in mystery because of the unlocking. Mystery isn’t about hiding something, but there’s a waiting that happens. Time is a key component, and patience is required. You can’t keep the mystery alive without patience.

And when I say “keep the mystery alive,” I mean for yourself. Not for anyone else. In the space when it’s just you, I hope things unlock for you and you find beauty within yourself. Because there are things you don’t know about yourself; I hope as you discover new things about yourself, you learn to cherish it in that safe and sacred place. Before sharing online, I hope you learn the art of privacy/keeping to yourself.

It may feel lonely at first, but in the quiet place, after the loneliness passes, there is peace. And growth.
